The Kitchen

The kitchen, with a 4-star rating from BANES, is equipped with a fridge, fridge freezer, two cookers, hot cupboard, hot water boiler, tea making facilities, tableware and cutlery. The equipment provides facilities for on-site food preparation for approximately 200 people. A serving hatch is available for easy food distribution to The Myra Hayward Room or by a nearby door to the Main Hall.

The Toilets

Both the Ladies and Gents toilets have recently been refurbished and provide very clean and comfortable facilites. Please note that the main toilets are not part of the sports changing facilities.

Short Mat Bowls

The club was formed in January 1996 and currently has around 30 members playing over 4 day time and evening sessions each week. The club was promoted this season from the Mendip League Division 2 to Division 1 and is currently near the top of this division.

Snooker Club

The club was formed over 70 years ago in a room in the village square. Then it became part of the miners' welfare association and was housed in a hut on the playing field until it was incorporated into the Conygre Hall. Currently the club has over 50 members and competes in the Radstock and District Billiards and Snooker League. The club currently has 6 snooker and 3 billiard teams.

Tyning Room

The Tyning Room can accommodate 40 seated persons but is normally restricted to 25 for comfort.

The Myra Hayward Room

The Myra Hayward Room can accommodate 60 seated persons but is normally restricted to 50 for comfort.

The Bar

The secure bar area has a counter, sink and serving area sufficient for functions such as weddings, cabarets, dances and concerts. When in operation the bar area has open access to The Myra Hayward Room and through The Myra Hayward Room to the Main Hall. The bar also has direct door access to the car parking area.

Main Hall

The Main Hall can accommodate up to 300 seated persons. However, for concerts and where meals are served the seated accommodation is normally restricted to 200 persons. For buffet meals the accommodation can be increased to 250 persons.

The Stage

The stage measures 21 feet wide by 13 feet deep with stage lighting controlled by a 24 way dimmer. There is a Public Address System feeding four speakers in the main hall. Cabled microphones with stands are available. Facilities are also available for hirers to connect play-in equipment. Off stage space is provided in the Green Room.

Green Room

This room is used as a store room but when required can also provide off stage dressing facilities with direct access to the outside parking area.

Sports Changing Rooms

The changing rooms provide for both home and away teams in separate rooms each with its own shower facilities. There is a separate rooms provided for referees/umpires.

Playing Field

The playing field adjoining the Conygre Hall features an outdoor netball/tennis court, football and cricket pitches and a nearby children's play area.

Car Park

The outside parking area has allocated parking bays for 55 cars, 2 of which are designated disabled person's bays.
